What Is a Fast Food Feminist?
Once upon a time in a faraway place the words "Fast Food Feminist" were tossed in my face by a man defending his right to be served Slow Food on a daily basis by His Woman. (This Right was only a hypotheses, as apparently there was no His Woman in his life, and I wasn't even talking to him when I said that I thought fast food was okay at times . . . but whatever.)
So I took the name and held it, thinking of a quote by Nicholas Boileau: "Sometimes a fool makes a good suggestion."
Q. Do fast food feminists like to eat fast food? A. I do, sometimes. More than that I like to know how to make good food fast (as I don't want to spend all my time in the kitchen).
Q. How can someone who was an executive chef and successful businessperson then become a stay at home mom, turning finally into one of those people who eat fast food and actually like it, be called a feminist? A. I always believe six impossible things before breakfast.
